Booking an Event

Select an event based on your job skills and experience, e.g. Senior Art Director.

It's important that you are realistic about your qualifications. Presenting yourself as a senior copy writer without the CV and portfolio to back it up is probably not going to get you the desired result. See more in our tip section for useful hints on how to make the most out of the evening (and how to have the most fun).

Check the date and venue and book your spot. Make sure you come prepared. Did we mention our tips section?

Before the event

We will send you a reminder email or SMS 24-48h before the event. Please reply with a simple 'yes' to confirm your attendance.

At the event

When you get there, look for our friendly staff to tick you off the list. They will also hand you a sheet with a reference letter on it so you can be clearly identified. It's up to you if you introduce yourself with your full name, just your first name or even a nickname. Just make sure you clearly show your reference letter so we will be able to process your matches later on. 

On the inside of your sheet you need to write down the employer's reference letter and select the employers you like by ticking the 'yes' box. There is also space for notes and star ratings but these are for own purpose only.

When the event starts, the employers will take a seat at the numbered tables. When you hear a bell, please pick a table and take a seat. After 8-10 minutes (depending on the number of participants) the bell will ring again, reminding you to get up and move to the next table. Don't be surprised if there is more than one person waiting at a table. Some companies might send two team members to an event. 

As you go, select the employers you are interested in.

Feel free to hang around afterwards. It's a good opportunity to do a bit of networking or catch up with other candidates.

After the event

We will compare your sheet with the ones of your selected employers. If both parties are interested in a potential employment, you and the employers will be notified and contact details exchanged.

Once contact details have been exchanged, it's up to you or the employer to take it to the next stage.

Under no circumstances will we hand out details unless both parties indicated a mutual interest.

However, we leave it up to you to hand out business cards or any other leave behinds during the event if you wish so. We even recommend leaving something behind that makes it easy for the employer to remember you.
